Gradual Transition from Impersonal to Personal Cases in Ethics Lectures
In ethics lectures, a best practice is observed where students are initially prompted to discuss impersonal cases, often involving current or historical scenarios. This approach is based on the observation that it is easier for students to engage in discussions and criticism of such cases. As the weeks progress and students become more accustomed to analyzing and discussing cases, the focus is shifted towards more personal and relevant scenarios. This gradual transition allows for the development of critical thinking skills while also applying ethical principles to students’ own experiences and contexts.
